How often should I give my dog a bath?

 Hey there guys!!

Today's topic is dog centric, we'll bring up the same topics on cats soon. So the topic is how often you should give your doggo a bath?

Do your furry friend like to roll in the mud and get dirty as soon as he sees it? well obviously this means bath, but aside from emergencies how often should you really give your friend a bath let's find out.

similarly like humans dogs can also stink if they haven't had a nice warm bath or a wipe in a long time.

What to consider

Actually the frequency of giving a bath depends on many factors like age, coat type, health issues, lifestyle and also on his hooman that how much they're willing to do for him. If we talk casually you should only give them bath once a month and for rest a wipe with a cloth and hot water should do the trick. If your friend have some underlying health conditions you should get your pet checked by the vet and bath them with the prescribed shampoo and bathing frequency, but the frequency should not exceed more than once in a week. As long haired or thick coated breeds like golden retriever and huskies does need a bit more of a care on this side as compared to short haired breeds. As humans dogs also have some essential oil in their coat by giving them bath more frequently can cause their essential oils go dry which can make their skin dry and flaky.

And if we talk about puppies they should not be given a bath at all unless they're 8 months or older as puppies cannot regulate their body temperature on their own as they're depended on their mothers at early stages for everything.

Also be alert while giving a bath to your furry friend make sure to check for lumps and etc if found contact vet as soon as possible.

How to Dry Your Pet After Bathing

Rinse well, and dry with soft towels. Some dogs will allow you to use a hairdryer on a warm/cool setting, while others will freak out or consider it playtime. If you use a hair dryer, be sure to keep the nozzle at least 18 inches away from the fur and skin in order to prevent overheating or burns. Whatever your dog’s preference, dry them the best you can, and enjoy their after-bath antics. Be sure they’re dry before going outside, or you’ll most likely be headed right back to the tub!

So alright dog lovers that's it for this blog see you in next one :)
